According to a baseball source, Red Sox minor league hitting coordinator Victor Rodriguez will be the next candidate to be interviewed for the team' major league hitting coach position.
The 51-year-old Rodriguez is the longest tenured member of the Red Sox' baseball operations department, having coached in the Sox' system since 1995. To listen to Rodriguez talk about evaluating top offensive prospects in the system on the Minor Details podcast with Alex Speier, click here. [1]
Rodriguez played in 17 major league games, 11 for Baltimore in 1984 and six more with the Twins in '89.
