FOXBORO -- Aaron Hernandez and Patrick Chung are inactive for the Patriots game against the Bills while Logan Mankins returns from calf and hip injuries and will start at left guard in front of Tom Brady.
Hernandez is missing his second straight game since returning from a sprained right ankle and playing against the Seahawks and Jets. Chung is missing his third straight game with a bad shoulder. Mankins missed the Jets and Rams games and has missed three of his last five games with various injuries before returning Sunday.
In the secondary, Steve Gregory returns from a hip injury suffered the last time the Patriots played the Bills, Sept. 30 at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Gregory missed the last four games with the injury. He started the game at safety with Devin McCourty while Alfonzo Dennard and Kyle Arrington started at the corners.
Defensive end Trevor Scott (hamstring), linebacker Tracy White (foot), defensive end Jake Bequette, defensive back Malcolm Williams and Ron Brace are also inactive for the Patriots.
For the Bills, defensive end Chris Kelsay is inactive with a neck injury.
