Ray Allen said he didn't hold anything personal against Kevin Garnett after the Celtics big man did not acknowledge Allen when the former C's sharpshooter went over to the Boston bench late in the first quarter before checking into the game for the first time in a Heat uniform.
"That's just KG," Allen told TNT's Craig Sager in an on-court interview immediately after the game. "He probably didn't see me coming. Those guys, I love those guys. I can't say enough good things about them. I love New England. It will always be my home and will always be a special place for me and my family."
Allen played a pivotal role in Miami's 120-107 win on opening night. He started his night with a corner 3-pointer as the shot clock expired. He added another trey minutes later on an accidental bank shot. Allen finished with 19 points in 31 minutes off the bench.
