FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (AP) The first round of the U.S. Open started Thursday. Weather permitting, the earliest it will end is Friday. A daylong deluge at Bethpage Black postponed much of the opening round to Friday. Rain started falling moments before play began and never stopped, overwhelming an already-waterlogged course. No one completed more than 11 holes, and half the 156-man field didn't even start their round. For more, visit the WEEI.com PGA section by CLICKING HERE [1].
