Jacoby Ellsbury launched a long homer over the visiting bullpen in right while Dustin Pedroia went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two steals in support of starter Brad Penny as the Red Sox beat the Florida Marlins, 6-1, on Wednesday night. Penny labored through five innings, throwing 100 pitches, but allowed only an unearned run on Ellsbury's first career error in the first inning.
