WALTHAM -- Celtics guard Jason Terry said that he'll be fine with coming off the bench for the C's this season, noting that Boston has the deepest bench in the NBA.
"We haven't made [me coming off the bench] official yet, but if that is the case we have the deepest bench in basketball," Terry said after Thursday's practice. "The Clippers may have something to stay about that, but for us in this locker room, our mission every night is to go out and outwork and outscore everyone's bench."
Terry said that the team's signing of veteran guard Leandro Barbosa has "made a deep bench even deeper" for the C's. Barbosa practiced with the C's for the first time on Wednesday after visa issues kept him from playing in Sunday's preseason finale. Barbosa is on a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum, while Terry inked a three-year deal with Boston in the offseason after playing the last eight seasons with Dallas.
