BALTIMORE -- Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith has left the team and may not play tonight against the Patriots after the death of his younger brother early Sunday morning in a motorcycle accident.
Smith delivered the news of his brother's death via his Twitter feed.
I can't believe my little brother is gone...be thankful for your loved ones and tell them you love them...this is the hardest thing ever.
He later tweeted a picture of himself standing with his young brother wearing Smith's No. 82 jersey.
The Ravens say Smith will spend the day with his family, which is from Virginia, and leave the decision on whether to play tonight up to the second-year receiver.
Smith set Ravens' rookie records in 2011, making 50 catches for 841 yards and a team-leading seven touchdowns. He has four catches for 108 yards through the Ravens' first two games this season.
