According to WEEI.com's Rob Bradford, citing a major league source, the proposed deal that would send Red Sox right-hander Josh Beckett to the Rangers is dead. Bradford tweeted the following [1] on Monday afternoon:

"Source: Beckett to Rangers not happening. Deal is currently dead."

Beckett had recently been linked to the Rangers and Braves in trade rumors, but WEEI.com reported Monday that the Braves were not in the mix for the 32-year-old.
