Keyon Dooling has agreed to return to the Celtics on a one-year deal, according to his agent, Kenge Stevenson. Dooling will sign for the 10-seasoned veteran minimum of $1.35 million, leaving the C's with their $1.96 million bi-annual exception intact.
The 32-year-old combo guard averaged 4.0 points and 1.1 rebounds in 14.4 minutes over 46 games for the Celtics last season. He played all 20 playoff games as well, shooting 39.3 percent from 3-point range in the postseason. Vice president of the NBA Players Association, Dooling also brings 12 years of veteran NBA experience to the C's locker room.
Dooling adds depth to an already deep Celtics backcourt that now includes Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley, Jason Terry and Courtney Lee.
