LAS VEGAS -- The Celtics summer league team continued its winning ways, holding off a late Chicago rally with a 79-74 win over the Bulls on Tuesday night. E'Twaun Moore led the way with 25 points, including 14 in the first half when the C's went on a 21-2 run to take control of the game.
Dionte Christmas also continued to impress with 18 points, and Jamar Smith heated up with 11 points in the first half. Both players have drawn praise from members of the team's hierarchy throughout summer league.
Jared Sullinger was matched up against former Celtic Leon Powe. Despite shooting 3-for-15 and scoring just seven points, Sullinger grabbed 13 rebounds, including five on the offensive glass. JaJuan Johnson also had a big night on the glass with 12 rebounds.
Second-round pick Kris Joseph hyperextended his left knee in the first half and did not return for the second. Sean Williams (ankle) also didn't play.
