In defeat, second-rounder Kris Joseph had 17 points (on 6-of-16 shooting) and 11 boards.
The Celtics shot just 36.1 percent of the floor in a game when they had nine total assists, or five fewer than point guard Brandon Knight had for the Pistons. At 3-1, the Celtics are tied with the Pistons for first place in the Orlando Summer League contests.
