Avery Bradley will have surgery on his right shoulder on Tuesday at New England Baptist Hospital and could miss the start of the season, the team told reporters in Orlando where the Celtics are preparing for the start of the Orlando summer league. Bradley had surgery on his left shoulder in June to repair an injury that forced him to miss the conference finals and part of their series with Philadelphia. The surgery is likely to keep Bradley out of training camp, although a firm return date is unknown.
While Bradley recovers, the Celtics are in the market for another shooting guard and coach Doc Rivers met with free agent Courtney Lee in Orlando, according to numerous reports. The Rockets rescinded their qualifying offer on Lee making him an unrestricted free agent and the Celtics could try to arrange a sign-and-trade deal with the Rockets.
