Jason Terry -- who has agreed to three-year deal with the Celtics worth just over $15 million -- told Fox Sports Florida Wednesday regarding Ray Allen's potential return to the Celts, "That certainly wouldn't hurt."
The 34-year-old Terry also talked to the network about his decision to join the Celtics. "I just love that they have a championship pedigree," he said. "And I think their point guard (Rajon Rondo) is the best in the business at controlling both ends of the floor. And they’ve got Hall of Famers."
A Celtics source told the Boston Herald Wednesday, "We're still going after Ray." (To learn more about the dynamic in regards to how the Celtics are approaching the remainder of the offseason, click here.) [1]
Allen's agent Jim Tanner confirmed to the Herald [2] that Allen will visit with the Heat Thursday, and Clippers Friday. The shooting guard has already talked with officials from Memphis and Minnesota, while keeping in contact with the Celtics. Boston has reportedly offered Allen a contract worth two years at $12 million.
