The Bruins traded the rights to restricted free agent Benoit Pouliot to the Tampa Bay Lightning Saturday in exchange for forward Michel Ouellet and the 131st pick in this weekend's draft. With the draft pick the Bruins selected forward Seth Griffith. (To read more about Griffith, click here.) [1]
Pouliot, who totaled 16 goals and 16 assists for 32 points last season, had signed a one-year, $1.1 million deal with the Bruins last July 1.
The 30-year-old Ouellet played for the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League last season, totaling 16 goals and 15 assists. His last stint in the NHL came in the 2008-09 season when he played in three games for the Vancouver Canucks.
