Atlanta's Josh Smith strained his left knee late in Game 2 of the Hawks' series with the Celtics. Without Smith on the floor, the Celtics were able to complete their comeback and even the series at a game apiece. Smith will miss Game 3 according to a report by Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski [1], who cites a league source who said that Smith would try to play in Sunday's Game 4. Atlanta is already without Al Hordford and Zaza Pachulia, leaving their frontline thin.
Smith is the Hawks' leading scorer and rebounder in the playoffs, averaging 19 points and 15.5 rebounds.
