The Patriots made two previously reported moves official on Thursday afternoon, re-signing veteran defensive lineman Gerard Warren and releasing wide receiver Tiquan Underwood.
Warren, 33, spent the last two seasons with the Patriots. The 6-foot-4, 325-pounder originally joined the Patriots played in 16 games with 10 starts in 2010, finishing with 36 total tackles and 3.5 sacks. Last year, he played in 12 games and finished with 16 total tackles, 1 sack and 1 fumble recovery. (He also played in all three postseason games, including Super Bowl XLVI.) The 6-foot-1, 183-pound Underwood played in five games for New England in 2011 and the 25-year-old caught three passes for 30 yards.
