According to a CSNNE report, veteran defensive lineman Gerard Warren is set to re-sign with the Patriots. The report by Mary Paoletti, crediting a source, does not indicate the length of the contract but speculates that a one-year deal is likely.
An 11-year veteran, Warren has played two seasons in New England, recording 40 tackles (25 solo) and 4.5 sacks in 28 games.
A University of Florida product, Warren was selected in the third round of the 2001 draft by the Browns. After playing his first four seasons in Cleveland, he shad stints with the Broncos (2005-06) and Raiders (2007-09).
