At long last we will be able to close the door on the trade that sent Kendrick Perkins to Oklahoma City. The Celtics will have the 22nd pick in this year's draft that originally belonged to the Clippers and was packaged by the Thunder in last year's trade that sent Perkins and Nate Robinson to Oklahoma City for Nenad Krstic and Jeff Green.
The Celtics will also have their own pick at No. 21, giving them back-to-back selections in what is considered a draft that is short on star power, but deep in potential contributors. The pick from the Clippers carried top-10 protection through 2016, but that became moot after they acquired Chris Paul and emerged as a playoff team in the Western Conference. The Clippers won a tiebreaker with the Hawks for the 22nd pick.
