Outfielder Che-Hsuan Lin and third baseman Will Middlebrooks were optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket as part of a number of moves made by the Red Sox on Thursday.
Left-handed pitcher Drake Britton and second baseman Oscar Tejada were optioned to Double-A Portland. Four players were reassigned to minor league camp: outfielder Juan Carlos Linares and right-handed pitchers Tony Pena Jr., Chorye Spoone and Alex Wilson.
