According to an industry source, the arbitration hearing for David Ortiz and the Red Sox is scheduled Monday. The Red Sox offered their longtime slugger a $12.65 million salary for 2012, while the DH requested a $16.5 million salary. The two sides can settle at any time prior to a hearing (indeed, settlements have been known to occur in the actual hearing room).
