Lopez designated for assignment, Bard called up

According to Sox skipper Terry Francona, the team has designated Javy Lopez for assignment and called up pitcher Daniel Bard. "Is he here to stay? We really don't know," said Francona prior to Sunday night's game against Tampa Bay.
