Even though the Patriots will be off this weekend, it will be a busy one for coordinators Josh McDaniels and Matt Patricia, and potentially linebackers coach Brian Flores, director of player personnel Nick Caserio and director of college scouting Monti Ossenfort, as all have reportedly received interest from other teams for various jobs.

Appearing on Dale & Holley with Keefe on Tuesday, Bill Belichick acknowledged what happens isn't in his control, but has had a "very open line of communication" with all parties involved with interviewing with other teams.

“Really, it’s not in my control," he said. "I have talked to the people that are involved and we’ve had a very open line of communication, and it’s not being the first time that it has come up, so this has been quite awhile now. But, we’ll see how it plays out and take it as it comes. It’s not anything I can control.”

Belichick was asked if any of them went to him for advice would he give it, and the coach noted these conversations have been happening for years, as this isn't the first time any of his coaches or executives have interviewed in other places.

“We’ve talked about a lot of things over a long period of time," he said. "This isn’t something that just suddenly happened that we haven’t experienced before. We’ve had a lot of conversations. Those conversations will remain private between myself and the parties involved.”

The Patriots will practice Wednesday and Thursday before getting the weekend off before their preparations get fully underway for their divisional round game Saturday, Jan. 13 at 8:15 p.m.
