Isaiah Thomas won't be playing in Boston Wednesday night
Looks like Celtics fans will have to wait a bit longer to actually witness Isaiah Thomas play basketball at TD Garden.
Cleveland coach Ty Lue told reporters Monday that Thomas will make his season debut for the Cavaliers Tuesday night against Portland, with a strict minutes restriction. The former Celtic guard won't, however, suit up the following night when his club heads to Boston.
Thomas, who hasn't played this season while recovering from offseason hip surgery, will get his next chance to take on the Celtics at TD Garden Feb. 11.
"My hip is better but I have no rhythm ... It feels like I lost my powers," Thomas told reporters, including ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "But once I get out there it’s going to be too hard to hold me back"
"It's a good moment for us."
