This year's two-day Radio-Telethon raised more than $4.5 million for cancer research and care! The program lineup was packed with patient interviews and expert information from Dana-Farber researchers and doctors.  The event also attracted several national celebrities and sports stars. Comedians/actors Lenny Clarke and Denis Leary (shown left) joined the Big Show on day 1 along with business magnate Donald Trump and Comedian Frank Caliendo. Actor Jim Belushi also called in to lend his support in day 2.

Red Sox players Jonathan Papelbon, Mike Lowell and Jon Lester all appeared on Friday's broadcast along with Johnny Damon. Dustin Pedroia, Jason BayTerry Francona and Tim Wakefield took part in day one of the event.

As part of the Radio-Telethon there were special ceremonies at both Red Sox games. Leary and Clarke threw out the first pitch at Thursday’s game and Kelly Clarkson performed during the 7th inning of the game on Friday evening. Clarkson was joined by local comedian Dane Cook on the Big Show in day two.

The goal of the 2009 WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon was to raise five million. Check out all of the recap content below:
