WEEI 93.7 FM Gearing Up for Another Year of Patriots and NFL Coverage

Popular football features return with “Patriots Monday,” “Patriots Friday” and “NFL Sunday”

BOSTON, MA – Today, the WEEI Sports Radio Network today announced the return of its fall football programming, again featuring exclusive interviews with quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick on Patriots Monday.

Again this year, gameday coverage on WEEI 93.7 FM will originate from Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill at 275 Patriot Place in Foxborough, MA, beginning on Thursday, September 12, when the Pats open their 2013 home schedule with a primetime matchup against their AFC East rivals, the New York Jets. The live broadcast of the Salk & Holley program will begin at 2:00 pm.

NFL Sunday will also broadcast live from Toby Keith’s when the Pats are at home and originate from WEEI’s Brighton studios when the team is on the road beginning with Week 1 on Sunday, September 8th. Each Sunday, from 9:00 am until noon, host Dale Arnold will be joined by former Patriots linebacker Matt Chatham and WEEI.com columnist Chris Price, with weekly call-ins from Comcast SportsNet’s Patriots Insider Tom E. Curran. The Real Postgame Show also returns for another season with host Butch Stearns, who will be joined by former Patriots and longtime analysts Fred Smerlas and Steve DeOssie. The Real Postgame Show will also broadcast live from Toby Keith’s when the Pats play in Foxborough.

The return of Patriots Monday marks another season of all-star, regular guests, starting with Brady resuming his morning slot on Dennis & Callahan at 6:30 followed by a replay at 9:00. This season, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter will also join D&C as a lead-in to Brady, beginning on Monday, September 9.  Mut & Merloni will be expanding their guest list this season, with visits from the likes of linebacker Jerod Mayo, defensive end Rob Ninkovich, right tackle Sebastian Vollmer and cornerback Kyle Arrington. And Salk & Holley will welcome coach Belichick, as well as All-Pro defensive tackle Vince Wilfork, to the program.

Patriots Fridays promise to be just as entertaining and informative with a host of interviews featuring a variety of NFL experts and insiders. ESPN Boston Patriots analyst/reporter Mike Reiss, The MMQB editor-in-chief and SI.com senior writer Peter King and NFL.com fantasy expert and member of the Fantasy Sports Writer Hall of Fame Michael Fabiano will all join Mut and Lou weekly. Then, on Salk & Holley, ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen will stop by every week at 5:00. In addition to Mort, a handful of former players and coaches will appear with Salk & Holley throughout the season, including Ron Jaworski, Herm Edwards, Mark Schlereth and recently minted Pro Football Hall of Famer Cris Carter.

Patriots Monday and Friday content kicked off following the first week of the pre-season and will continue through the team’s final game of the year.
