About Kirk Minihane

Kirk Minihane thinks "Slap Shot" is -- without argument -- the best sports movie ever made and is also convinced the 1985-86 Celtics would have finished with a record of 78-4 if they had cared about the regular season. He has been a columnist at WEEI.com since 2009 and is now part of The Dennis & Callahan Show.

Report Card time and this was an eye-opener.
Kirk Minihane
12/20/2010 - 4:00am
FOXBORO - Look, what you saw on Sunday night was this: A game the Patriots would not have won without a 71-yard kickoff return by an offensive lineman (Gale Sayers Connolly) and a can of corn surefire INT drop by a future Hall of Famer (I'm thinking Charles Woodson might not open up that bed and breakfast in Foxboro

One man's Week 15 NFL picks, made while trying to figure out if I should let my strength coach stand this close to the computer … -- San Francisco (+9.5) over SAN DIEGO

Mailbag time and it's debate central this week.
Kirk Minihane
12/09/2010 - 7:42am
Mailbag time and the folks are enjoying the victory lap.  Lots and lots of Rex Ryan bashing this week and this'll be a Pats-heavy 'bag as usual, but let me be the first (OK, maybe not the first) to ask:
Kirk Minihane
12/07/2010 - 9:24pm
Report Card time and the rule here has always been this: If the Patriots beat a team with at least a share of the best record in the NFL by six touchdowns it's love letter time.

12/07/2010 - 3:53am
FOXBORO - Nobody talks more than the Jets.
Kirk Minihane
12/01/2010 - 7:24pm
Mailbag Time and I'm wearing Uggs and waiting for a call back from Leonard Hair Transplant Associates.  Yup, this is home base of Camp Brady. And my column on Monday suggesting that Brady is the clear-cut MVP brought the expected feedback.
Kirk Minihane
11/28/2010 - 5:12pm
Report Card time and we'll look forward by looking back.
Kirk Minihane
11/27/2010 - 1:15am
There wasn't a whole lot of revenge talk in the Celtics' locker room prior to Friday's game with the Raptors (in fairness there wasn't much talk at all.
Kirk Minihane
11/23/2010 - 7:37pm
Mailbag Time, and I'm fairly certain this is the only place on WEEI.com where you'll find both a Manning vs. Brady QB debate AND a Jamie Lee Curtis vs. Denise Richards cleavage debate.
Kirk Minihane
11/22/2010 - 6:00pm
Report Card time and I'm still not sure what he would have done.
Kirk Minihane
11/21/2010 - 11:38pm
First: On Sunday Peyton Manning was as close to great as you can be without actually being great. I know, I know -- he didn't get it done when it mattered, he had three interceptions, all that matters is the final score. All true, I suppose.
Kirk Minihane
11/18/2010 - 10:59pm
One man's Week 11 NFL picks (note: I took Miami (PK) over Chicago in the Thursday night game) …  -- Cleveland (+1.5) over JACKSONVILLE
Kirk Minihane
11/18/2010 - 12:47am
Mailbag time, and even after admitting that I'm a moron and done trying to figure out the Patriots after watching them put on a nationally televised clinic in Pittsburgh in a 39-26 win (a game I was absolutely convinced they would lose by a couple of touchdowns) some folks still won't let up on me.
Kirk Minihane
11/16/2010 - 7:16am
Report Card time and a shocking return to the written lap dance.  How can it not be? Simply a dominant performance on Sunday night (I'm still stunned), and the grades have to reflect that. So the red pen goes on hiatus and everyone gets the "GREAT JOB!" sticker.  To the card we go … -- QUARTERBACK -- A

If you want insight of any value when it comes to the 2010 New England Patriots I would suggest that you stop reading and look somewhere else.

One man's Week 10 NFL picks (note: I took Atlanta (-1) over Baltimore on Thursday night) … TAMPA BAY (-6.5) over Carolina
Kirk Minihane
11/11/2010 - 2:47am
Mailbag time and it seems that some people can't live with the idea that Tom Brady might not be perfect.
Kirk Minihane
11/08/2010 - 9:41pm
Report Card time and I think we've heard and read enough about Tom Brady's body language and yelling on the sidelines and the press conference after the game Sunday. Who cares? Brady was pissed and frustrated and acted exactly like he did when things didn't go well in 2003 and 2005 or last year or his junior year at San Mateo.

11/07/2010 - 8:33pm
Allow me 1,000 words of Schrute (as we all pause to remember when "The Office" was a funny sitcom) …

Kirk Minihane
11/02/2010 - 6:16am
