About Kirk Minihane

Kirk Minihane thinks "Slap Shot" is -- without argument -- the best sports movie ever made and is also convinced the 1985-86 Celtics would have finished with a record of 78-4 if they had cared about the regular season. He has been a columnist at WEEI.com since 2009 and is now part of The Dennis & Callahan Show.

“It’s always so hard here. And I tell you, people are supposed to have your back at home, you know what I’m saying? It never happens. It’s always like that. I’ve been here more than a decade and scorekeepers here are always horrible." -- David Ortiz, June 18, 2014

On its own, it is absurd to claim that someone should lose his job simply because of the misdeeds of an adult son or daughter. There is and should be, in the end, personal accountability.
