It was awfully, awfully early to be worried about Loui Eriksson.

10/11/2013 - 8:40am
Jarome Iginla already was disliked enough in Boston when he played his first game at the Garden since turning down a trade to the Bruins. Then he went out and busted up Nathan Horton's shoulder and left Boston's best postseason winger banged up for the entire postseason. What a super mean guy.

10/09/2013 - 7:51pm
Carl Soderberg was dressed in his typically sharp attire as walked through the Bruins dressing room on his way out of Ristuccia Arena one day this week when a teammate heckled him on his way out.
DJ Bean

The Bruins spent the entire season – still tinkering with the personnel in the Stanley Cup finals, even – trying to ice a good third line last season. Two games into this campaign and one player short of what they had planned, the Bruins have a good third line. Go figure.

10/04/2013 - 8:15am
It wasn’t too long ago that Dennis Seidenberg was still an unsigned free agent looking for a job in training camp.
DJ Bean
10/03/2013 - 7:15am
The Bruins are as front-loaded with goal-scorers as they’ve ever been in the Peter Chiarelli regime. The guys they have aren’t the 40-goal type, but they’re just the type that Chiarelli wants.
DJ Bean
09/29/2013 - 9:48pm
Jordan Caron made the Bruins out of training camp in 2010 and played on the second line for part of his first professional season. Three years later merely making the team is almost a bigger feat.
DJ Bean
09/26/2013 - 7:35am
Jordan Caron doesn’t want to be passed over again. It’s hard to blame him, but it’s also hard to see it not happening.
DJ Bean
09/23/2013 - 11:48pm
Carl Soderberg traveled about 3,700 miles west to come to Boston. Now he’s moved over just a little more to stay in Boston. Goodbye center, hello left wing.  It’s the final piece in what has been a long stretch of change for Soderberg, and now, after joining a new team late last season, he has his new line and his new position.
DJ Bean
09/20/2013 - 8:22am
Last year at the trade deadline, the thinking was that the Bruins needed to add a potential top-six right wing for two reasons: first, to bolster the lineup, and second, as insurance for Nathan Horton, who had seen his previous two seasons end early due to injury -- specifically, concussions.
DJ Bean
09/16/2013 - 12:10am
An NHL season is near and nobody knows for sure what Chris Kelly’s line is going to look like. Sound familiar?
DJ Bean
09/13/2013 - 4:55pm
Chris Kelly may have been joking, but there was some truth to his reaction when Carl Soderberg entered the Bruins' dressing room to chat with the media. "Carl!" Kelly said. "Good to see you!"

You can probably put the "which defenseman goes to the AHL?" talk on hold for a little bit.

Ten years ago, Patrice Bergeron forced the hockey world to learn his name a lot earlier than it was supposed to.

LOWELL -- As Gregory Campbell stood on the field of LeLacheur Park, chatting before Milan Lucic's annual softball game, a young fan from the stands screamed, "Campbell, you're my hero!" The fan probably wasn't talking about Campbell's two-way play or his willingness to drop the gloves against bigger guys, a

After what he calls a lost season, Jared Knight is willing to go to pretty extreme measures to give himself the best shot to reach the NHL. Just ask the 15-20 pounds he left somewhere in an Ottawa gym or rink this summer.
DJ Bean
09/03/2013 - 6:24pm
WILMINGTON -- The average fan might not even know which offensive position he plays, but if anyone knows anything about Loui Eriksson, it’s that he’s considered underrated.
DJ Bean
08/28/2013 - 3:57pm
WILMINGTON -- If all goes according to plan, Bobby Robins will be in the NHL the next time he reads “The Catcher in the Rye.”
DJ Bean
08/13/2013 - 1:01am
The Bruins are going to be very good this season. Maybe they'll be better than last season, but remember, better does not mean more successful.
DJ Bean
07/14/2013 - 1:03pm
WILMINGTON -- It's been two years since the Bruins made Anthony Camara a surprise third-round pick, and as the 19-year-old leaves behind an OHL career in which he went from a seldom-scoring agitator to a frequently suspended 36-goal-scorer and heads for the AHL, he isn't forgetting his goal.
DJ Bean
07/12/2013 - 2:59pm
Eight years is a long, long time, but the Bruins just can’t get enough of Patrice Bergeron.
DJ Bean
07/11/2013 - 4:36pm
Tuukka Rask took a gamble last season by taking a one-year deal. Now the Bruins are the ones taking a gamble, but the stakes are much higher.
DJ Bean
07/10/2013 - 3:28pm
WILMINGTON – When Malcolm Subban watched the Bruins come two wins away from winning the Stanley Cup, he was bummed out.
DJ Bean
07/08/2013 - 2:14pm
Loui Eriksson has a lot of things going for him as he comes to the Bruins, and the biggest one is pretty simple: He’s a sure thing.
DJ Bean
07/06/2013 - 2:39pm
Peter Chiarelli has done more than remake the right side of Boston’s offense.
