A lot was said Sunday — a lot more than usual, anyway — so it was fitting that the best description of this strange Bruins season came from the team’s best quote.

The Bruins need the two Hs: health and help.
DJ Bean
12/11/2014 - 11:55pm
There’s still a lot of people who view the Bruins as a sleeping giant, and for good reason. Despite the changes this team has undergone and the injuries it’s suffered, Boston’s squad has a reputation of being an extremely tough team to oppose.  The bad news is that they don’t let you through to the next round on reputation.

Is David Krejci really this important to the Bruins?
DJ Bean
11/28/2014 - 11:40pm
The Bruins are preparing to embark upon a four-game West Coast road trip and Zdeno Chara won’t be with them.

WILMINGTON — It’s admirable that David Pastrnak wants to be a responsible player, but he should worry about doing that later.
DJ Bean
11/24/2014 - 11:43pm
The Bruins have prided themselves on offensive depth for the better part of the last five seasons. Right now, they’ll happily take having two good lines.
DJ Bean
11/22/2014 - 11:29pm
The Bruins’ latest loss to the Canadiens was not for lack of trying, but that doesn’t matter. The bottom line on a nightly basis is whether a team get points.

11/20/2014 - 5:06pm
If the Bruins had their way in the 2013 offseason, Nathan Horton would still be playing for them.

TORONTO — The Bruins slept on an opponent and got their rear ends kicked.
DJ Bean
11/10/2014 - 11:27pm
For the better part of four years, the Bruins had something lots of other teams didn’t have --consistency from their fourth line in terms of both personnel and performance.

11/10/2014 - 12:04am
Matt Fraser is as eager a person as there is in the Bruins dressing room. At times, perhaps, he borders on anxious.
DJ Bean
11/06/2014 - 11:29pm
When Zdeno Chara went down just over two weeks ago, there was legitimate reason to be concerned.
DJ Bean
11/01/2014 - 10:32pm
Matt Fraser said in training camp that he would fill the Bruins’ water bottles if it meant having a job with the team.

WILMINGTON — Matt Bartkowski’s regression has made the Bruins’ problems on a depleted blue line a lot worse.

Torey Krug wants to be considered more than an offensive defenseman. The Bruins will find out whether he is over the next few weeks.

Considering the start to the season the Bruins have had, there was anticipation for Saturday’s game to see what kind of team would show up.
