Ultimately, Game 1 between the Bruins and Sabres stuck to the script.
Dan Rowinski
04/12/2010 - 11:14pm
On the cusp of the playoffs, it’s prudent to take a step back and assess how well the Bruins performed in various areas so as to understand what they might do going forward.
Dan Rowinski
04/11/2010 - 4:58pm
This one was more for pride than anything else.
Dan Rowinski
04/10/2010 - 6:31pm
The Bruins can now enjoy the fruits of their labor because they finally know that they are going to be playing hockey well into spring.
Dan Rowinski
04/08/2010 - 11:32pm
There are probably not very many players who can put a stressful playoff race burdened by the inability to score and multiple injuries to key players as “fun.”
Dan Rowinski
04/03/2010 - 11:14pm
What’s the Slovakian word for “clutch?” Countrymen Zdeno Chara and Miroslav Satan were just that Saturday, as they led the Bruins to an important 2-1 overtime victory against the Maple Leafs in Toronto (click here for the full recap).
Dan Rowinski
04/02/2010 - 8:41am
How does this happen, exactly?
Dan Rowinski
03/30/2010 - 12:50am
Crunch time has come to the Hub.   The pressure is mounting on the Bruins. Individual pride, grudges and stats all become relatively meaningless at a time of year when points are the only currency that counts.
Dan Rowinski
03/27/2010 - 6:42pm
Finally, the Bruins have reason to feel positive about their season.   This isn’t just about good vibes on the heels of a 5-0 victory over the Flames on Saturday. (Recap.)
Dan Rowinski
03/26/2010 - 7:11am
Everything was backward Thursday night at TD Garden.
Dan Rowinski
03/24/2010 - 12:20am
I swear we have met somewhere before. Oh yeah, you’re the Bruins.
Dan Rowinski
03/21/2010 - 5:22pm
The Bruins team that played Sunday afternoon was the one that was really expected on Thursday night.
Dan Rowinski
03/19/2010 - 6:33am
We are reaching the dénouement to the Bruins' season.
Dan Rowinski
03/14/2010 - 7:30am
New England fans know that sinking feeling.
Dan Rowinski
03/12/2010 - 1:37am
The Bruins went to Philadelphia on Thursday with a bad taste in their mouths.
Dan Rowinski
03/10/2010 - 12:34am
The time for scoreboard watching has begun.
Dan Rowinski
03/07/2010 - 8:28pm
Sunday afternoon was a perfect example of the enigma that is the 2009-10 Bruins.
Dan Rowinski
03/05/2010 - 9:00am
Ring the bells, rattle the chains, make some noise: The Bruins won a game at the Garden.
Dan Rowinski
03/03/2010 - 9:39pm
Even though the Bruins' final 21 games of the regular season come in rapid succession, this might be a long month-and-a-half for hockey in the Hub.
Dan Rowinski
03/03/2010 - 1:08am
If the Bruins have visions of playing extended spring hockey, they are going to need a scorer.
Dan Rowinski
02/21/2010 - 11:34am
If the Bruins really want to improve their offense this year without making a trade for a major goal-scorer, then improvement from within is necessary.
Dan Rowinski
02/14/2010 - 12:57am
It is a good time for the Bruins to take a break. They have played seven games in the last 11 days and it showed on Saturday as they were a lackluster hockey team for two periods against the Panthers in Florida.
Dan Rowinski
02/12/2010 - 2:56am
The Bruins are now swimming above the line.
Dan Rowinski
02/10/2010 - 12:59am
The Bruins are making the most of Tuukka Time.
Dan Rowinski
01/23/2010 - 11:08pm
It looks like the Bruins are losing their fervor. Boston did not lose to 2-1 to Ottawa Saturday because of a lack of effort. Nor did it have much to do with the game plan. No, what the Bruins lacked was emotion.
