With the spring practices -- OTAs and minicamps -- now completed, the 2013 Patriots are starting to come into sharper focus.   The Patriots made several moves this offseason, but they didn’t acquire any one of the high-end pass-rushers who were available in free agency. In addition, they didn’t push all their chips to the middle of the table on one of the elite pass-rushers who were available in this year’s draft.

Nope. Don’t think so. Keep moving. Patriots coach Bill Belichick needs to resist what must be a powerful impulse and make the decision not to sign Tim Tebow.

When the Patriots swung and missed -- although, to be fair, it was sort of a check swing, called third strike -- on their pursuit of Emmanuel Sanders this spring, they tipped their hand to the fact that, as things stand right now, they’re still not satisfied with the state of their receiving corps.

With the 2013 draft looming, we decided to take a look back at the 18 finest selections of the Bill Belichick era in New England. The rules for inclusion are fairly standard -- a player had to be drafted by the Patriots from when Belichick took control in 2000 until the present day.
