FOXBORO -- No skill position player on the Patriots roster this season has done a better job of taking advantage of the opportunity presented to him than Julian Edelman.
Christopher Price
12/12/2013 - 2:03am
FOXBORO -- There is almost always a disarming sense of practicality to the way the Patriots have done business over the years, and that was evident again Wednesday as they began preparing in earnest for the remainder of the 2013 season -- a slate of games that will not involve Rob Gronkowski.
Christopher Price
12/10/2013 - 11:43pm
It’s a split-second decision: High or low?
Christopher Price
12/09/2013 - 1:41pm
Moving on from Rob Gronkowski will be difficult, but it’s not like the Patriots don’t have experience in this area.
Christopher Price
12/09/2013 - 1:35am
FOXBORO -- For a Patriots team that has had to deal with wave after wave of challenges through the first 13 games, what happened Sunday afternoon might very well be the breaking point.
Christopher Price
12/05/2013 - 11:10pm
FOXBORO -- One of the constant themes preached by Bill Belichick is “Ignore the noise.” But if the Patriots are able to stay on a roll throughout the rest of the regular season, he’ll find it harder and harder to tune out the buzz that will build around him when it comes to his Coach of t

12/04/2013 - 9:32pm
FOXBORO -- Bill Belichick was in a good mood Wednesday morning, tossing out zingers at a reporter who pressed him repeatedly over the course of the summer and fall about the health of Rob Gronkowski, as well as a jab at the Jets

12/03/2013 - 5:22pm
With the final quarter of the season looming, the Patriots sit at 9-3, in possession of the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff picture. However, there are still a few things that need to be answered between now and the start of the postseason.
Christopher Price
12/02/2013 - 5:48pm
Since Vince Wilfork went down against the Falcons, the Patriots run defense has struggled to maintain order in the middle of the field.
Christopher Price
12/01/2013 - 11:29pm
The Patriots’ 34-31 tractor pull of a win over the Texans Sunday afternoon in Houston was a late-season, grind-it-out victory that does nothing for New England’s BCS chances, but allows the Patriots to tear another day off the calendar while staying entrenched in that No. 2 spot in the AFC playoff picture.
Christopher Price
11/28/2013 - 1:47am
FOXBORO -- Rob Gronkowski probably wasn’t interested in marking the anniversary.
Christopher Price
11/27/2013 - 1:09am
Much has been made of Stevan Ridley’s ball security issues over the last year-plus, as the running back has come under fire for his four lost fumbles this season -- three of which have come in the last three games.
Christopher Price
11/25/2013 - 3:43pm
It’s a tough mix.
Christopher Price
11/25/2013 - 6:57am
FOXBORO -- As late Sunday night gave way to early Monday morning in a raucous Patriots locker room, Devin McCourty had a simple explanation as to how the Patriots pulled off the most ridiculous comeback win in recent franchise history.
Christopher Price
11/22/2013 - 7:12pm
This week’s Patriots-Broncos contest sets up to be one of the premiere regular-season games of the year, and not just because of the showdown between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.
Christopher Price
11/22/2013 - 1:28am
FOXBORO -- It’s still odd to see.
Christopher Price
11/21/2013 - 1:40am
FOXBORO -- It’s not always advisable to go too deeply inside the numbers looking for statistical patterns when you talk about the Patriots -- New England is a game-plan team that has the ability to use multiple looks on both sides of the ball.
Christopher Price
11/20/2013 - 12:38am
It was a distinct shot across the bow of Aqib Talib, and a reminder of just how tenuous things are when it comes to the Patriots secondary.
Christopher Price
11/19/2013 - 6:09am
There were opportunities. Oh, how there were opportunities.
Christopher Price
11/16/2013 - 12:55am
Where have all the bell cows gone?
Christopher Price
11/15/2013 - 10:00am
FOXBORO -- Tom Brady is playing a lot better than you think -- or at least better than most of the numbers show. Take it from the best in the game, past and present. Despite some of the statistical struggles, he still commands respect from almost anyone who has spent time under center.
Christopher Price
11/13/2013 - 5:16pm
It doesn’t have the breathless “will-he-or-won’t-he” drama of Gronk Watch that occupied the first six weeks of the regular season, but the return of running back Shane Vereen -- and the impact he can have on the

FOXBORO -- Say what you will about the 2013 Patriots -- they certainly haven’t been boring.
Christopher Price
11/07/2013 - 12:40pm
With nine games in the books, the Patriots will have the weekend off as they head into their bye week. Considering the offseason changes and the early season injuries, the 7-2 record is a sign they have outperformed some of the expectations that were placed on them at the start of the year.
Christopher Price
11/06/2013 - 1:42am
FOXBORO -- There’s no way of really knowing, but you get the distinct impression that if they ever crossed paths, Matthew Slater and Richie Incognito wouldn’t exactly see eye to eye.
