– Former Boston Mayor Thomas Menino announced Thursday that he will suspend his book tour, no longer seek treatment for cancer and spend more time with his family.

“Great man, we all love Mayor Menino,” Merloni said. “Really, we will forever remember Mayor Menino — and he’s still with us and we still love the man. But I’m just saying, a great man for the city.”

Added Merloni: “He asked for everyone to keep them in their thoughts and prayers. I think I speak for everybody when I say we do.”

– Benz recounted an awkward moment during CSNNE’s 6:30 program with co-hosts Gary Tanguay and Trenni Kusnierek.

“He asked Trenni if she felt like role-playing, and there was a moment of silence there where I’m not sure if Trenni interpreted it the same way that Gary was meaning to ask it,” Benz said. “Whereas I think he was asking role-playing in terms of, ‘You play [Darrelle] Revis, I’m going to play Bill] Belichick,’ Trenni I swear got a look of horror on her face there for about 20 seconds to see where Gary was going with that.

“She got it at the end and everything was smooth after that. But, Trenni, if you’re listening, I was with you for the first 10 or 15 seconds as well. I didn’t know where it was going.”

– A freshman football player at Notre Dame made gossip headlines when he was spotted on a date with 42-year-old porn star Lisa Ann at a Knicks game.

“I can’t imagine the NCAA [not] finding a way to make this be a violation somehow,” Fauria said. “Like, somehow you’re dating a porn star, this has got to be in the guidelines of what you shouldn’t do.”

Added Fauria: “You’re Notre Dame, you’re Catholic Notre Dame, Touchdown Jesus. Do your really think the priests at Notre Dame are happy about this?”

Lisa Ann wasn’t shy about publicizing the date.

Said Fauria: “Good for him. Good for him. I’m not sure how long it’s going to last …”

– A New York City doctor who treated on Ebola patients in West Africa returned to the United States and tested positive for the virus. Dr. Craig Spencer is the fourth person in the U.S. to be diagnosed with Ebola. Once doctors realized Spencer had Ebola, he was quarantined at Bellevue Hospital.

“It’s frightening,” said Callahan. “You don’€™t agree that this is frightening? This idiot comes back from Africa when he was treating Ebola patients, and instead of just laying low for a while, decides to take the subway to the bowling alley.”

Continued Callahan: “First of all, what self-respecting physician bowls?”

Replied Minihane: “I wouldn’t mind bowling a little bit more — it’€™s fun.”

“Would you be happy if your doctor was giving you a checkup, looking at his watch saying, ‘I’m going to leave,’?” said Callahan. ‘€œShouldn’t this doctor be arrested? Quarantined, arrested and charged.”

Said Minihane: “I think if you go West Africa, that’€™s great. You want to treat these people, that’€™s wonderful. If you do come back, you can’€™t come out for like two months.”

– Former Boston mayor Thomas Menino stopped his chemotherapy treatment and suspended his book tour during his battle with cancer. Menino said he wants to spend time with his family during the difficult time.

Said Dennis: “It doesn’t sound good. Good luck to him.”

Replied Callahan: “He wants to spend more time with his family, and God bless him, I’€™m sure he will, do you think he wishes he did that earlier? Because he worked 20 years, seven days a week, 24/7. Do you think there’€™s that regret saying, ‘Why didn’t I do this?’ ”

“I think he enjoyed what he did,” said Dennis. “I think he enjoyed running the city.”

– Zach Galifianakis for the past few years has hosted a parody talk show called “Between Two Ferns,” interviewing people ranging from President Barack Obama to actress Jennifer Lawrence. On his newest episode, he held an awkward interview with actor Brad Pitt.

Minihane ran a sound clip of the odd interview and while he enjoyed it, the other hosts did not think it was as funny.

“I guess Brad Pitt didn’t really have much to say, but he played along and he got annoyed,” said Callahan.

“You play like you’€™re annoyed,” replied Minihane. “Some people thought it was real.”

Asked Callahan: “Is that the trick for this show? Some people think it’€™s real?”

“Sounds like Brad wasn’t buying it,” Callahan said.

Here are the highlights from Thursday’s Three for All on Middays with MFB with Lou Merloni, Christian Fauria and Tim Benz. To hear the segment, go to the MFB audio on demand page.

– A nun who won the Italian version of “The Voice” released her debut album, and it includes a remake of Madonna’s 1984 hit “Like a Virgin.”

Sister Cristina Scuccia, a 26-year-old from Sicily, has received some criticism from the Catholic media, although she claims she interpreted it as “a song about the ability of love to renew people, to redeem them from their past.”

“Out of all the songs, would this be the one?” Fauria wondered, adding: “So, run out and buy that and see if your priest thinks it’s OK.”

– On the heels of his memorable prank phone call to a Buffalo radio station last week, Fauria tried calling a Chicago station for Part 2 of “Christian from Foxboro.” Unlike last week, when he appeared on air for about 10 minutes (over two segments), this time Fauria was not as well-received, as he was cut off after complaining that he was on hold for too long and that the hosts were putting him to sleep.

Two more attempts to get back on the air ended in failure.

“So when you said [they] were putting [you] to sleep, they wanted to hang up because they didn’t want their listeners to think that they were really putting people to sleep?” Merloni asked.

“A little sensitive,” Benz noted.

“They did not want to play around,” Fauria said.

Added Benz: “When you first called the station did you notice that you sounded like a bizarre combination of Danny Picard and ‘Lou from Chicago.’ It’s amazing how you hybrid yourself like that.”

Said Fauria: “I can’t help it.”
