It’s good to see the gang over at the NFL Networkd getting in their last minute hatred. This is one of the most evenly matched contests in Super Bowl history. The line has never been more than a field goal, and ping-ponged back and forth from Seattle being favored to the Patriots and back to Seattle. But over at the league’s broadcast headquarters, the “experts” are picking it like it’s the 1994 Chargers-49ers blowoutfest.
I respect the Seahawks as much as anybody, but are they kidding us with this? They would’ve had a closer “Who Has the Edge?” if they were breaking down the Death Star vs Alderaan matchup.
I’m sure the Pats are spending the day in a news blackout, but I hope someone gets this particular Patriots Hater Jeopardy Board into their locker room somehow. They should know that the quarterback who has now led three almost entirely different rosters (there is practically no roster overlap from the 2001 team to the 2007 or from 2007 to the present), which is unprecedented in football history, is unanimously considered the second best QB in this game.
So thanks, NFL Net. It’s never too late for some quality Bulletin Board fodder.
