Put in the NBA's concussion protocol following a scary fall to the court on Thursday night, Celtics wing Jaylen Brown has indeed suffered a concussion and will miss Sunday's game against the Pacers at the very least, Celtics head coach Brad Stevens confirmed Saturday

While the Celtics would prefer not to lose Brown for any stretch, a concussion almost seems like a best case scenario situation for the Green. If only because the 21-year-old Brown was able to avoid any serious damage to his neck and back on the fall.

"He went through a series of tests [Friday] that were more detailed even than the ones he went through in Minnesota," Stevens said. "Everything came back negative so he's doing better. He's sore. … Structurally — neck, back, shoulders — he's going to be fine."

The Celtics have not yet named a starter in Brown's place.

Brown is averaging 14.1 points and 5.2 rebounds per game through 61 contests this season.
