FOXBORO -- The Patriots may be getting one of their top receivers back this week.

Chris Hogan, who injured his shoulder on Oct. 29 against the Chargers, returned to practice for the first time since the injury on Wednesday. The session was held inside the Empower Field House in full pads with the heat turned up as the team prepares to take on the Dolphins Monday night in Miami.

There were several players missing including Tom Brady, Marcus Cannon, Malcolm Butler, Deatrich Wise Jr., Kyle Van Noy and obviously Rob Gronkowski, who is suspended for Monday's game.

Brady has missed the last several Wednesday practices, while Cannon hasn't played since the Chargers game. Van Noy was injured in the Bills game last Sunday and it's unclear what is keeping Butler and Wise out.

There will be no injury report Wednesday with the game Monday.
