At this time next week there will likely be a number of head coaching gigs available following firings after the conclusion of the regular season.

Two of the most sought after candidates are with the Patriots in offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and defensive coordinator Matt Patricia.

Speaking on conference calls Tuesday, both coordinators were asked their mindsets going into potential interviews, but each remained focus on the Jets, the Patriots' Week 17 opponent.

“Yeah, there’s nothing really there to even discuss,” Patricia said. “Right now, it’s all about the Jets.”

McDaniels added: “We’ll just see what happens, like always. It’s happened in the past, and that’s something that will take care of itself once the season is over. I’m really focused and excited about our preparation for the Jets.”

Both coaches have interviewed in the past, but the ideal job just hasn't been there. Perhaps, that will change this year.

Time will tell.
