FOXBORO -- The following Patriots players are inactive for Sunday's game against the Texans: linebacker Dont'a Hightower, offensive tackle Marcus Cannon, cornerback Eric Rowe, outside linebacker Harvey Langi, offensive lineman Cole Croston, receiver Matthew Slater and running back Rex Burkhead.

This means Danny Amendola, Rob Gronkowski and Phillip Dorsett are all active.

With Rowe (groin) out, this means Malcolm Butler will likely get the start after being the No. 3 cornerback last week against the Saints. With Cannon (concussion/ankle) out, LaAdrian Waddle and Cameron Fleming will be very important in protecting Tom Brady. It's unclear who will start at right tackle, but both could see action.

Hightower appears one more week away from getting back into action after injuring his knee in Week 1, and Slater hasn't yet been a full participant in a practice this year after injuring his hamstring during training camp.
