Four days after being placed in the concussion protocol after a late hit from Rob Gronkowski, Tre'Davious White has sounded off on the tight end after clearing protocol on Thursday.

Midway through the fourth quarter in the Patriots’ 23-3 win on Sunday, after an interception of Tom Brady by White on a pass intended for Gronkowski, the tight end jumped towards White when he was on the ground giving him a forearm/elbow to the back of the head.

"I'm glad I had my mouthpiece in," White told reporters in Buffalo. "I probably could've bit my tongue off. I bit my lip pretty bad. Terrible headache. It is what it is. He did what he wanted to do."

Added White: "The guy did what he wanted to do. He is what he did. Dirty shot, so what does that make him? Dirty player. Simple."

Gronkowski was suspended one game for his actions, which White said isn't enough.

“Man, it's a joke, dog," he said. "Man, I don't know what to say on that. I'm laying there. He snuck me with my back turned. He could have broke my neck. I mean, I got a son to raise. All that. People don't think about that when they just react."

White said Gronkowski hasn't apologized to him.

The two teams will meet again on Christmas Eve at Gillette Stadium.
