FOXBORO -- On Wednesday, Bill Belichick didn't have much to say about the team signing former Steelers outside linebacker James Harrison, and although he still wouldn't go deep into the subject, the coach added a little more Wednesday night with Fox Sports Radio's Steve Gorman SPORTS!.

“Well, he was available," Belichick said. "It is hard to get players at this time of year that have that kind of ability to help a team. We got that a couple of weeks ago with Kenny Britt and so things just worked out. We’ll see how it goes.”

Harrison has been a full participant in both practices this week and figures to play Sunday against the Jets.

The Steelers players were not pleased with the way Harrison handled things and then signed with the Patriots after his release last weekend. This could make for an interesting AFC championship if the two teams were to meet there next month.
