Alex Cora has experienced his first bit of drama as the manager of the Red Sox, but his boss isn't really interested in making anything of it.

Dave Dombrowski was asked by WEEI's Kirk Minihane at Tuesday night's "Globies" award ceremony about the NBC Sports Boston report that stated Cora had gotten into a heated exchange with Astros broadcaster Geoff Blum and Houston manager A.J. Hinch on Aug. 31. The Red Sox president of baseball operations downplayed the news.

"Actually, A.J. Hinch called me on Sunday night after [NBC Sports Boston reporter] Evan Drellich had called. And A.J. and I have spoken a lot about Alex and A.J.'s relationship," Dombrowski said. "The plusses, the minuses, things to be cautioned about. He said, 'Dave, the reason I never mentioned it to you is I didn't think anything of it. I didn't think it was much of a situation, whatsoever. These are the type of things that took place.' So, I really didn't think very much of it just because of the A.J. scenario and how he handled it."
