As part of our coverage of the 2017 NBA Draft, which will be held June 22 at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, WEEI.com continues to look at draft possibilities for the C's. The Celtics have amassed four picks: No. 1, No. 37, No. 53, and No. 56.

Name: Jawun Evans

Position: Point Guard

Hometown: Simpsonville, SC

College: Oklahoma State

Age: 20

Height: 6-foot-1

Weight: 185 pounds

Key 2016-17 stats: 19.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 6.4 assists, and a 43.8 field goal percentage

Scouting Report: Evans was the Big 12 Freshman of the Year for his performance in the 2015-16 season, and was named to the All-Conference First Team for the 2016-17 season.

At just 6-foot-1, Evans is able to create space from defenders and knock down mid-range shots. He is a scoring point guard with shifty handles and great court vision. He is able to dribble through traffic, especially when in situations with a hedging post players in pick and roll situations. Evans is efficient in splitting the gaps and exposing the bigger defenders when a switch opportunity occurs. He finishes well in traffic and is able to absorb contact and finish creatively around the rim.

Opponents focused on Evans and his ability to consistently hit mid-range shots, which often attracted multiple defenders and at 6.4 assists per game, he was able to find the open man diving through lane or spotting up. Evans shot 43.8 percent from the field last season, which can be concerning number for a guard entering the draft, and shot 37.9 percent from beyond the arc. Both percentages decreased from his freshman to sophomore season and he also averaged one less rebound from one year to the other.

Defensively, Evans hounds every dribble and pass. He stays in front of the ball extremely well and has active hands that cause deflections leading to steals and forced turnovers. However, while his size could pose problems for him at the next level, the Celtics are an organization that don't consider it a weakness. Isaiah Thomas is 5-foot-9, Terry Rozier is listed at 6-foot-2 and Avery Bradley is 6-foot-2 who are all current Celtics roster players and averaged 23.3, 5.6 and 16.7 points respectively this season.  Evans will have to be smarter with his passing decisions into the post and in traffic after averaging 2.54 turnovers during the 2016-17 season in order to excel as a point guard in the NBA.

One mock draft from NBAdraft.net has Evans as the No. 21 pick and going to Oklahoma City. In that same mock draft, there were just five other point guards that were predicted to be selected before Evans. This draft is driven by conversations surrounding Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball as the top two prospects and point guards. Therefore, Evans could be overlooked despite his energetic style of play with tight handles and aggressive defense, but is likely early second rounder.
