AROUND THE WEB:

-- Mike Francesa finished his final full ratings period on WFAN in second place to Lite FM. For a part of the Sept. 14 to Dec. 6 period, that station had switched to Christmas music.

According to Newsday, “From 3 to 7 p.m., WFAN averaged 6.6 percent of the audience in the key demographic of men ages 25-54. That trailed only WLTW, also known as ‘Lite FM,’ at 7.1, helped as usual by its holiday music format, which this year began on Nov. 20.”

However, the Nielsen Audio ratings for that period showed Francesa beat out his ESPN New York rival Michael Kay. Kay ranked fourth with a 5.0 ratings share. So that should be some vindication for Francesa.

-- Lonzo Ball was in the giving mood this Christmas, surprising his parents with a Big Baller-worthy gift.

Ball gave his mom, Tina, and dad, LaVar, a Rolls-Royce Dawn worth a reported $400,000 and presented it to them on Christmas night.

Ball is set to make $6,286,560 this season with the Lakers.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “I am happy for the success that he’s had. I’ve talked to him about that.” -- Bill Belichick, on Jimmy Garoppolo’s 4-0 start with the 49ers
