-- Rob Gronkowski returned home on Monday from losing the Super Bowl to face some more bad news.

A burglary was reported at Gronkowski’s home near Gillette Stadium on Monday night around 6:15 p.m.

According to the police scanner audio, “the homeowner [Gronkowski>, while he was on his trip, his house was broken into," the officer is heard saying. "Multiple safes .. possible guns” reportedly were missing.

Foxboro Police Chief William Baker gave an update on Tuesday morning, saying the department is "always looking for tips. We welcome those tips" relating to the investigation. He confirmed the burglary happened while Gronkowski was in Minnesota. Officials also confirmed there is an active investigation into the robbery but did not give any further details out of respect to Gronkowski's privacy.

Gronkowski appeared briefly at the front door Monday night but did not say anything.

The Patriots left for Minnesota on Jan. 29 and returned home on Monday around 5 p.m.

-- Tom Brady’s ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan was not unhappy with outcome of the Super Bowl.

The actress and mother of Brady’s son Jack praised the Eagles on Twitter after their Super Bowl win against Brady and the Patriots.

“#NickFoles is having an amazing game @eagles @nfl,” she tweeted. She followed up with, “Amazing game @Patriots congratulations @Eagles #superbowl2018.”

She also retweeted a tweet about Will Smith rooting for the Eagles and Nick Foles’s tweet celebrating the win.

Moynahan and Brady dated for three years before splitting in 2006. As that happened, Brady met his now-wife, Gisele, and Moynahan found out she was pregnant with Brady’s son.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “It would be a much longer discussion. There’s a lot of things that go into that. In the end, the final decision is what I said it was.” -- Bill Belichick, on why he benched Malcolm Butler for the Super Bowl
