Lonzo Ball to the Lakers may finally be a foregone conclusion.

Despite prior reports saying Los Angeles wasn’t sold on Ball because of his father, and he was "out of shape" in his pre-draft workout with his hometown franchise, ESPN NBA Insider Chad Ford is reporting Ball to the Lakers is "closer and closer" to happening.

With Markelle Fultz likely to be taken by Philadelphia with the first overall pick (via Boston), and Ball projected second to L.A., the Celtics will have a number of different options to explore with their third pick.

Ford has the Celtics drafting Kansas forward Josh Jackson in his latest mock draft, citing that the team is "high" on him. Ford also added however, that the Celtics haven’t had Jackson in for a workout, which could open the door for Duke forward Jayson Tatum.

Trading the No. 3 overall pick, which they will acquire in their reported trade with Philadelphia is also on the table according to reports.
