Jerry Remy is one step closer to returning to the broadcast booth. The beloved broadcaster announced Tuesday he’s completed chemotherapy.

“Surgery done. Chemo done . Now on to radiation. The end of a long process is in sight. Felling good,” he tweeted

Remy, who turned 65 Wednesday, was diagnosed with cancer for the fifth time in June and underwent chemo in August. He returned to NESN for a few games in September, forming an entertaining three-man booth with Dave O’Brien and Dennis Eckersley. It would be great to see those three work together next season, once Remy gets the deserved Opening Day spotlight to himself, of course.
