
Rob Johnson's third double of the game, on an 0-2 pitch from Ramon Ramirez, drove in the go-ahead runs in the 11th as the Seattle Mariners beat the Red Sox, 7-6, at Fenway Park. George Kottaras hit his first career homer in the bottom of the inning. Trailing 5-3 with two outs in the eighth, Nick Green's second double of the night drove in the tying runs and took starter Tim Wakefield off the hook. Wakefield, an All-Star candidate, matched a season high by throwing 112 pitches over eight innings, allowing 10 hits and five runs. Ronny Cedeno and Jose Lopez went deep for Seattle while J.D.
